Why We Write

Three weeks in and picking up steam

Hello on a Sunday – a day we had originally planned to be dark on this site.  Now, going dark would seem like we were deserting our post.

This has been quite a week at WHY WE WRITE: in the last seven days or so we’ve found ourselves mentioned in or linked from Salon.com, United Hollywood, The Futon Critic, USA Today’s Pop Candy, flickr(?!), and my favorite-site-so-far, SorozatJunkie, a Hungarian site where I got to see our blog described thusly: “A blogot az Euréka két írója, Charlie Craig és Thania St. John hozta létre és eddig olyanok öntötték szavakba motivációikat.”  That’s my kind of attention.

So we just wanted to say “thanks.”  It has been extremely gratifying to read your comments, and your submissions.  Please keep them both coming.  We’ll do our part: Hart Hanson, the Creator of “Bones,” and Danny Rubin, who wrote “Groundhog Day,” are coming up this week… and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Every writer has their own story, and we’ll do our best to tell as many of them as we can.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and we’ll see you tomorrow.
